Dworkin and Sheep.
Ronnie and Betsy in southern France, July 1969.
"The main building for artistic performances was surrounded by various modern sculptures, and the inside contained two things: sheep and a harpsichord.
Sheep?"
Needless to say, no Ronnie, nor Betsy in this image found on the web.
Exhaustive research over the past five decades, aided by invention of the internet, has finally uncovered the names of the sheep artists. Our text says " One of Madame's artist friends
had created life-size sheep which could be arranged . . . ." But, in fact, it was two artists, Françoise-Xavier Lalanne and wife Claude Lalanne (known artistically as Les Lalannes).
More about them here.
They also created epoxy versions of their sheep for the outdoors. (The castle here in not Les Treilles).
